From Day One: Medical Office Startup Consulting
You spent years training to practice medicine. Setting up the business behind the practice is a different skill set entirely. I bring more than 30 years of hands-on medical office experience, from billing and collections to office management and staff training, to help first-time practice owners get it right before they see their first patient.

What I Can Help You With
Billing and collections setup
Establishing your billing systems, payer contracts, and collections workflows before you see your first patient. Getting patient demographics right from day one keeps your receivables clean and your cash flow predictable.
Front office and back office procedures
Scheduling protocols, phone etiquette, privacy compliance, patient intake, and insurance verification. Documented procedures your staff can follow from week one, not month three.
Staff onboarding and training
Training your team on systems, software, and daily workflows. Reducing costly errors in demographics, insurance capture, and accounts receivable management that compound quickly in a new practice.
Accounts receivable recovery and process review
If you are inheriting a backlog or an existing practice with collection problems, I can audit your AR, identify the leaks, and train your team to close them. I have done this at scale for hospital systems.
I know the operational framework cold. Where recent regulatory changes, particularly the proposed HIPAA Security Rule update expected to be finalized in mid-2026, require specialized IT or cybersecurity expertise, I will tell you so directly and refer you to the right resource. You deserve honest guidance, not overselling.
